This is a limited-edition print of school of Ocean Surgeonfish (Acanthus bahianus) photographed July 2018 on the island of Bonaire. They can be observed in abundance in Gulf of Mexico as well as in tropical West Africa. They are entertaining when they travel as a school stopping at some corals where they will initiate a feeding frenzy that attracts others in the vicinity. It is unclear what their destination is but are one of few fish varieties that can and are observed on both sides of the Atlantic though it is unlikely they made the crossing!
Their dark blue silhouette makes them easy to identify.
